For over 20 years, The Americana Music Association has championed the authentic voice of American Roots Music around the world. To help them better achieve this mission, we created a new website to help artists, businesses, and fans learn about the organization, find out about Americana Fest, and how to get involved.
For this project, our team underwent an extensive site mapping and wire framing phase to learn about the different types of users, previous website traffic history and how the site would best serve their individual needs. Special attention was made to call out AMERICANAFEST, the yearly festival that unites the fans and artists of the genre every fall in Nashville, TN. It was also important we plan that it be developed on a very editable custom WordPress platform so that the client team has the ability to update and grow the website. We planned integration with radio chart feeds that automatically update weekly to simplify their operations from the previous activity of uploading static PDFs that were manually generated.
To help the user experience, the Americana Music Association site uses color to differentiate pages from AMERICANAFEST, Awards, and Membership information. AMERICANAFEST features a unique navigation tailored to links to help festival attendees find passes and everything else they need to make the most of the events.
